| A Message from the Principals |
|
|
Dear SFHS Falcon Families,
Mr. Nikson and Mr. Kaufman would like to express our sincere appreciation for the growth mindset and flexibility displayed by our staff, students, and parents as we continue to improve the learning environment here at Sheboygan Falls High School. We have already seen the positive impact of this collaborative spirit through our recent events. By changing the winter dance into a Winter Carnival, we created an experience enjoyed by both students and staff; in fact, one student even proclaimed that the pep rally "actually didn't stink," which we take as a high compliment. We also transitioned our 2nd semester parent-teacher conference into a student showcase, a change that was very well received by our school community.
As we are now approximately a third of the way through the second semester, it is a perfect time to discuss your student's progress and set academic goals for the remainder of the school year. We encourage you to review your student's current 2nd semester grades together. Please keep in mind that these grades reflect progress to date, as final semester grades and credits are not recorded until the end of the term. Because consistent assignment completion is absolutely crucial for success, maintaining focus now will pay off as we head toward the end of May.
With spring athletics starting soon, please encourage your student to stay updated by reading the daily announcements. This is the best way for them to know when to attend informational meetings and how to submit all necessary forms to the office on time, ensuring they are eligible to participate.
Finally, for the parents of our seniors, there are just over three months remaining until graduation. May 29th, the last day of school, will be here before we know it. Please keep a close eye on school messengers in the coming weeks, as they will contain essential information regarding graduation and year-end celebrations. |
Thank you for your partnership in education. Go Falcons!
Mike Nikson, SFHS Principal
Noah Kaufman, SFHS Associate Principal |

| SDSF Renewal of Project Adam Heart Safe School Designation |
|
|
In January, we conducted an Emergency Medical Drill at each of our school buildings. Our Medical Response Teams consist of staff members who volunteer to serve on the team. The team members go through training annually with the school nurse, and learn to respond to many different emergency medical scenarios.
This year we focused on responding to a sudden cardiac arrest. Orange Cross Ambulance also participated in the drills, and responded to each location. The teams did an excellent job of following the protocols we have in place to keep our students, staff, and community members safe.
We were also able to renew our designation as a Project ADAM Heart Safe School. This is attained by schools upon successful implementation of a quality sudden cardiac arrest program of awareness, training and effective emergency response to promote a Heart Safe environment for students, visitors and staff as outlined within the Heart Safe School Checklist. We renew our designation every 3 years.
Thank you to all of the Emergency Medical Response Team staff members, the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, Orange Cross Ambulance, and Emergency Medical Service volunteers for everything you do to care for our students, staff, and community members! |

Sheboygan Falls Athletic Booster Club Updates |
The Sheboygan Falls Athletic Booster Club turned up the heat on a chilly Sunday afternoon with its annual Chili Cook-Off in the beautiful barn at Nourish. This year’s event drew 11 SFHS clubs and teams to battle it out to see who had the best chili recipe. Each group proudly decorated their table and brought lots of energy to try to win over voters for the coveted “spirit award”. The winner of the best-tasting chili was football, with Coach Z’s smoked Wagyu beef and special blend of herbs and spices taking the top prize. Second place went to Coach Sheahan and boys’ track. The top vote-getter for the spirit award was the trap shooting team. Runners-up for spirit was baseball. Over $1,500 was raised at this year’s event that will help provide a much-needed upgrade to the sound system for the track and football field.
|
The Booster Club is a group of parents and friends working together to benefit all SFHS students by providing annual scholarships, facilities improvements, and financial support to SFHS athletic programs. Want to learn more about the Booster Club and help plan fun events like the Chili Cook-Off? Come check out our next monthly meeting on Monday March 30th in the SFHS library. We will talk about the upcoming spring sports season and our next big event
– the annual Booster Club Scholarship Golf Outing! |
